Ssssssliiiinnking around "Our Street Night Market" in Sacramento Saturday night in the "Priestess Snake" design! What a wicked cool event for two of my favorite things, art and food! I ended up buying a couple of hauntingly beautiful prints from an artist named Xavier who offers up such a unique perspective on themes that are close to my heart. Not only did I find his artwork evocative, but his booth set up was so clean and professional. I was definitely taking notes on how to continue improving the shopping experience for Hollow World! Needless to say, I was overjoyed when he immediately complimented me on the shirt I was wearing. I don't think those moments will ever get old! Smiles :)
The Priestess Snake design represents a feminine perspective on an archetypal theme that has existed since antiquity, starting with Eve and the serpent in the Garden of Eden. Rattlesnakes are demonized, but I empathize whole heartedly with them. It's not their fault that their bellies are so low to the ground that they feel every vibration. They try to rattle softly as a warning, but then they get their heads chopped off. Whatever, it's an assumed risk.
Design Breakdown- 3 snakes for the trinity; father (heaven/mind), mother (heart/earth), holy spirit (breath)/ upper, middle, lower realms/ or in hermeticism, primary, secondary and tertiary motion/ monad, dyad, triad.
The moons represent feminine energy, and the cross has always been such a strange representation of Christ to me since it's a symbol of torture, and Christ along with his oh-so shadowy consort, Mary Magdalene, were messengers of liberation, not salvation. We were born divine my friends.
I've always preferred the sacred heart symbol myself, and have more artistic plays on that coming for my 2027 Valentines Day Collection where I explore the most beautiful type of devotion, devotion from love and not fear.
I added three tears because look, we are sorry for whatever we did to you all with the apple, but it had to happen, we accept the repercussions, and don't worry we're not petty! This is the age of Aquarius! Raise the vibration Kings and Queen and stay connected!
In one theory, the serpent from the Garden of Eden is actually Sophia (divine wisdom) who fell from the pleroma (realm of spiritual perfection) and accidentally created the material world by attempting to create without her consort, so she comes to the garden to try to pass along knowledge, I'm guessing related to the demiurge, so that we could mimic the pleroma on earth. That's a lot to get into here, and possibly another collection, so I'll leave you with this-
Love , light, shadows ;) and poetry straight from the Temple of Isis :) xoxoxoxoxo
Christ Logos
Fire in the heart of the holy spirit
Finds a temple in me
Walks straight to him
Reminds me of the priestess within
The past life myrrhophore
Awakens the code
This is the path I know
I asked for this gift
To break me in
and show me the silver line
Walks me straight through the dark
To remind me that I am the daughter of light
